Την Παρασκευή 30 Αυγούστου οι Soundtruck, Skysent LU, Nylon Astra και Blues Revenge, ενώνουν τις δυνάμεις τους και ανεβαίνουν στην σκηνή του Δημοτικού Κηποθεάτρου Νίκαιας, σε μια blues/rock διαδρομή, με ένα κοινωνικό σκοπό: τη συλλογή φαρμάκων για την ενίσχυση του κοινωνικού φαρμακείου του Δήμου Νίκαιας Αγ. Ιωάννη Ρέντη. Σε αυτο το mini festival, που θα ονομάζεται Rock Aid 2013, θα ισχύει ανταλλαγή εισόδου με ένα κουτί φάρμακο.
Η εγχώρια ροκ σκηνή δείχνει το κοινωνικό της πρόσωπο με ένα απαράμιλλο live που θα μας θυμίσει ότι το... μουσικό καλοκαίρι δεν τελειώνει έτσι εύκολα! Σας περιμένουμε όλους!!

Λίγα λόγια για τα συγκροτήματα που συμμετέχουν
Soundtruck: Οι Soundtruck δημιουργήθηκαν στην Αθήνα στα τέλη του 2008, αρχικά σαν μπάντα διασκευών παίζοντας τραγούδια των AC/DC, ZZ Top και Lynyrd Skynyrd, μεταξύ άλλων, σε μικρές και μεγάλες μουσικές σκηνές σε όλη τη χώρα. Σύντομα έγιναν σχετικά γνωστοί για το ξεχωριστό ύφος τους και την ενέργειά τους πάνω στη σκηνή. Μετά από μια μεγάλη σειρά επιτυχημένων ζωντανών εμφανίσεων, ξεκίνησαν τις ηχογραφήσεις του δικού τους υλικού το Δεκέμβριο του 2010 στα NURV Studios στην Αθήνα, οι οποίες ολοκληρώθηκαν περίπου 6 μήνες μετά με τον καλύτερο τρόπο: το mastering του δίσκου έγινε στα Sterling Sound Studios της Νέας Υόρκης από την απόλυτη αυθεντία του είδους (και πρόσφατα εκλιπόντα) George Marino, γνωστό για τη δουλειά του με μπάντες όπως οι AC/DC, οι Bon Jovi και οι Metallica.
Η επίσημη κυκλοφορία του δίσκου έγινε στις 18 Ιουνίου 2012, την ίδια μέρα που οι Soundtruck άνοιξαν τη συναυλία των θρυλικών Lynyrd Skynyrd στην Αθήνα μπροστά σε περίπου 10.000 θεατές. Έκτοτε, πραγραμματίζουν τις επόμενες εμφανίσεις τους και δουλεύουν καινούριο υλικό για τον επόμενο δίσκο τους.

Skysent LU:
Οι Skysent LU δημιουργήθηκαν το 2004 στην Αθήνα. Κινούνται γύρω από heavy metal και hard rock μονοπάτια, ενώ η φαντασία και το ανοιχτό μυαλό τους, τους βοηθά να είναι αυθεντικοί όταν συνθέτουν και εκρηκτικοί στις συναυλίες τους. To πρώτο album τους “2 Seconds Late” έχει λάβει εξαιρετικές κριτικές από περιοδικά και websites της Ελλάδας και του εξωτερικού, όπως τα Metal Hammer (GR), Powerplay (UK), Fireworks magazine (UK) και άλλα, ενώ κομμάτια του δίσκου έχουν αποτελέσει μέρη των cover cds περιοδικών όπως το Big cheese magazine (UK) και Fireworks magazine (UK) και των playlists ραδιοφωνικών σταθμών της Ελλάδας και του εξωτερικού.To νέο τους CD Single “Touch me Μο#herfu(k3r!” που βγήκε σε συνεργασία με την FM Records λίγους μήνες πριν, είναι μια συνέχεια του LP και περιλαμβάνει μια εξαιρετική διασκευή του γνωστού τραγουδιού των 80’s της Samantha Fox, καθώς επίσης τα "Punishment" σε acoustic version και "Loneliness of my heart" σε radio edit. Nylon Astra: Οι NYLON ASTRA σχηματίστηκαν πριν λίγα χρόνια στην Νίκαια. Το όνομά τους, κατά το ήμισυ, το πήραν από την φράση του OSCAR WILDE “όλοι ζούμε στον υπόνομο, μα κάποιοι απο μας κοιτάζουν τα άστρα”. Αφορμή για την έναρξη της συνεργασίας υπήρξε η αγάπη τους για το rock‘n’roll και την ποίηση. Τα θέματά τους πραγματεύονται την καθημερινή ζωή στην πόλη, μέσα από τη συλλογική τους μουσική αντίληψη.

Blues Revenge:
Το καλοκαίρι του 2008 δημιουργούνται οι Blues Revenge, ένα σχήμα που στοχεύει κατευθείαν στην καρδιά των blues, εμπλουτίζοντας όμως αυτή την τόσο σημαντική μουσική φόρμα με στοιχεία και από άλλες μουσικές, όπως rock, soul, jazz, δημιουργώντας ένα ενδιαφέρον ηχητικό αποτέλεσμα. Οι Blues Revenge είναι ένα group που κινείται γύρω από το ηλεκτρικό blues του Chicago ως το jump blues της Δυτικής Ακτής και από το rock blues της Βρετανίας ως το jazz blues της Νέας Υόρκης.

On Friday, August 30, Soundtruck, Skysent LU, Nylon Astra, and Blues Revenge, join forces and go on stage at the Municipal Garden Theater of Nikea, in a blues/rock journey, with a social purpose: the collection of medicine for the social pharmacy of the Municipality of Nikea, Ag. Ioannis Redis. In this mini festival, called Rock Aid 2013, we will be collecting medicine INSTEAD of an entrance fee.
The Greek rock scene shows its social profile, with an unforgettable live show that will remind us that the… summer for music doesn’t end here! We’re expecting you all!!

Few words on the bands
Soundtruck: Soundtruck were formed in Athens on 2008, initially as a cover band, playing AC/DC, ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd among others, touring around Greece. Soon they attracted the attention for their unique style and energy on stage. After several successful appearances, they started recording their own material on December 2010 at NURV Studios in Athens. 6 months later, mastering took place at the Sterling Sound Studios of New York, under George Marino, famous for his work with AC/DC, Bon Jovi, and Metallica.
The official release date was June 18, 2012, when Soundrtuck opened the legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd’s live in Athens, in front of 10.000 people. Since then, they are working on their next shows, and new material for their next CD.

SKYSENT LU:
Skysent LU were formed on 2004 in Athens. They move around heavy metal and hard rock paths, while their fantasy and open mind has led them in being authentic when composing, and mind blowing when performing live. Their first CD “2 Seconds Late” has received excellent reviews from magazines and websites in Greece and abroad, like Metal Hammer (GR), Powerplay (UK), Fireworks magazine (UK) and others, while several songs have been included in the covermount CDs of magazines like Big cheese magazine (UK), Fireworks magazine (UK), and in the playlists of several radio stations in Greece and abroad. Their CD single "Touch me Μο#herfu(k3r" that was released with FM Records few months ago, is a sequel of the LP and includes an excellent cover of the popular 80s song by Samantha Fox, as well as “Punishment” in acoustic version, and “Loneliness of my heart” in radio edit. Nylon Astra: NYLON ASTRA were formed a few years back at Nikea. Partly, they took their name from Oscar Wilde’s phrase “We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars”. The motive for starting the band was the members’ love for rock‘n’roll, and poetry. Their lyrics deal with the everyday life in the city, via their collective musical perception.

Blues Revenge:
On the summer of 2008 Blues Revenge are created, and aim directly at the heart of the blues, enriching though this important musical form with elements from other genres, such as rock, soul, jazz, thus creating an interesting sound effect. Blues Revenge are a group that moves close to the electric blues of Chicago up to the jump blues of the West Coast, and from the rock blues of Britain, to the jazz blues of New York.
